Deep Dive
1. When does a surface fascinate you?
We’re fascinated by the vast versatility of surfaces. As designers, we have the opportunity to actively shape them and influence the way they’re perceived. Surfaces carry emotion, function, and identity — and they give us endless creative freedom. Anything feels possible. A surface can soothe or provoke, tell a story or serve a clear purpose. It’s this depth and complexity that makes surfaces such a central part of our design process.
2. What kind of surface design do you miss?
Honestly, we don’t feel like any specific surface design is missing — because if we can imagine it, we can create it. In our design process, there are no fixed limits — only challenges we see as opportunities. By working with materials, colors, textures, and technologies, we’re able to develop surfaces that express exactly what we want — whether it’s something functional, emotional, or purely aesthetic. Our freedom in design means we don’t miss anything — we simply design it.
3. One room. One surface. What do you choose?
Both.
4. What is your vision of future surface design?
Our vision of future surface design is interactive, customizable, and immersive. Surfaces won’t be static anymore — they’ll respond to their environment, to people, and to their needs.
